Lightload Puer Tea Sampler Box

Five Gallons of Black Tea in a Tiny Box

When Lightload sent sample towels, they also tossed in a box of their Purer Tea. Basically, the tea is compressed black tea and 1 ounce can make up to five gallons of tea. The compressed format works well for camping trips where weight and space counts. To use, you open one of the five packages, break off some and boil it in about eight ounces of water. Afterwards, you’ll have a richly flavored cup of black tea. Lightload claims the longer you store the tea, the richer the flavor. I’m looking forward to digging back into this box after it sits all winter.

Lightload Towels Extra Strength 3 Pack

Ultralight and Compact Towels for Paddling Trips

The perfect stocking stuffer for a canoe or kayak camper is a three pack of Lightload Extra Strength Towels. The 12 inch by 24 inch towel weighs just 0.5 ounces and come compressed in a 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch by 5/8 inch package. When you need to use a towel, you open the package and out comes the 12 inch by 24 inch towel. The towel itself is made from Lyocell, a wood and plant fabric. After use, you can clean it, wash it and reuse it. At $8.99 a three pack, it’s a no-brainer gift.

backpacking, camping | $8.99 | Lightweight towels are super useful on outdoor adventures for everything from drying dishes, to washing your body, to wiping down wet gear. These reusable ultralight towels pack down small, weigh next to nothing (0.7 oz. on my scale), are super absorbent, and dry much faster than other pack towels or bandanas. I like to use them instead of baby wipes for staying clean on backpacking and camping trips. I recommend washing before using since they soften considerably after washing.

Hiking Essentials: 3 Most Important Things You Should Carry On a Day Hike

If you are anything like those who love the great outdoors, as the weather begins to warm up, you will probably be planning a summer day hiking adventure. After all, there is no better way to enjoy the beauty of nature with family or friends, or even by yourself, than by heading out on hike into the wild. And if you have been on hikes in the past, you would know how important it is to carry the right gear. Whether you are climbing a difficult hill or casually heading out to a nearby lake, you must always have the proper equipment on you at all times, because they can mean that difference between a small inconvenience and serious trouble if something goes wrong.

The things you bring on a day hike are usually determined by the duration level of the hike, the weather forecast as well as the location of the trail. There are, however, a few things that are a must for all kinds of hikes. Here are some of them:

Hiking backpack

The backpack is probably the most primary piece of equipment you should carry on your hike. For shorter hikes, a backpack that holds around 12 to 20 liters of gear should be enough. If you have plans for multi-day hikes, however, you need something bigger to make space for all the extra gear, food and other supplies that you’ll have to carry.

Navigation tools

No trip to the backcountry is complete without basic navigation tools like compass and map. While it may be easy to for you to assume that your phone will be enough for that, keep in mind that it is an electronic item that can run out of power at any time. Moreover, hiking trails usually have bad network coverage. Also, make sure you learn how to use a compass and map before you head out.

Weather-appropriate, quick-drying clothes and hiking shoes

When you plan your hiking trip, check the weather forecast and pick out the clothes according to the expected conditions. But always carry extra clothes to prepare for unforeseen changes in the weather. Warm layers are recommended. Wear comfortable shoes that are designed to hiking. Additionally, you will need an absorbent towel to soak up all the sweat or to dry your face after a quick wash. Our Lightload Towels are the best choice as they are small, lightweight and incredibly absorbent.

Our travel-size beach towels are the perfect addition to your hiking essentials as these tiny towels are designed to fit into the smallest pockets in your bag. All you need to do to turn them into full-size reusable towels is put them in water. Browse through our website to shop for our beach towels.

Going to the beach may have been canceled last year, but this year, with lockdown restrictions being relaxed and vaccinations underway, you can finally go out and enjoy your day by the shore, soaking up some vitamin D and sipping on chilled drinks with your friends. And if you have a beach day marked on your calendar, it is time you thought about the essentials that you need to carry. Sure, you may have your bathing suit or swim trunks figured out, but what about the rest of your beach must-haves? Here is a list of a few things you will need for a guaranteed fun and memorable day in the sand, from sunscreen to dry bags and everything in between:

1. Sunscreen

When heading to the beach, you should always carry (and use) sunscreen. Period. Unless you want to come back with a painful sunburn, apply a sunscreen with SPF 50 all over your exposed areas before you step out, and reapply after every two or three hours. This will protect your skin against the harmful effects of the UVA and UVB rays.

2. Beach towel

The first thing that you need to know is that your bath towel is not meant to be your beach towel. For the beach, you should carry a lightweight towel, preferably one that easily fits into your beach bag. At Lightload Towels, we offer extra-large beach towels for swimming that are compressed towels designed to be super absorbent, quick dry and hygienic.

3. Reusable water bottle

Dehydration is not a good look on anyone, which is why you should always carry a water bottle to keep your throat from getting parched in the heat. A reusable bottle saves you money that you would otherwise spend on buying bottled water, keeps you hydrated and most importantly, it is highly sustainable – win, win, win.

4. Dry bag

When you decide to take a dip in the water, the last thing you would want to do is leave your phone or other belongings strewn about on your towel. The solution? Carry a dry bag, and use it to store your phone, jewelry and other valuables that you cannot carry with yourself out in to the water.

Find the best beach towels for travel at unmissable prices, only at Lightload Towels. Browse through our online store to shop now. www,liload.com

Camping is a wonderful way to spend some time amidst nature and soak in the beauty of the great outdoors. Although, the idea of camping holds different meanings for different people. Some like to prepare for a comfortable experience by loading their car with everything they could possibly need. Some love challenging themselves with just the basics. For most, however, it is a happy midway between the two: All the basics along with some creature comforts like emergency towels, fluffy pillows, and maybe a blow-up mattress. But no matter if you are a casual camper—driving up to the campsite instead of hiking—or someone who likes to rough it up, there are a few crucial camping essentials you cannot ignore. These are things that will make camping convenient and enjoyable. Read on to find out what they are.

1.For your campsite

The whole idea of going camping is to set up a campsite. To do that, you will need a few basics like a tent, tarp, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, lanterns, and so on. If you want to enjoy that extra touch of comfort and luxury, you can also carry a few other things like chairs (perfect for stargazing), pillows, doormats, and so on. Although most drive-up campsites offer firepits and picnic tables, you will need to carry lighters or matches.

2.Toiletries and first-aid

Even at a campsite, you need to maintain your basic hygiene (even if you don’t shower every day), which is why you need to pack toiletries. But in addition to our regular toiletries, you should also prepare yourself for emergencies like cuts and bug bites.

Biodegradable soap, deodorant, bug spray, mouth wash, toilet paper, face wipes, quick-dry towels, first aid kit, etc. are the most important.

3.Cooking essentials

Unless you want to spend your days at the camp eating instant noodles and fire-baked potatoes, you might want to carry some camp kitchen essentials.

No matter how long your beach vacation is, whether it is a weekend getaway or a two-week long trip, you need to pack a suitcase (or bag) and you need to do it right. When it comes to planning what you will carry on a tropical trip, there are a lot of things that you need to consider, like the type of your trip, the duration, expected weather conditions, your itinerary and so on. And when there are so many variables involved, it is quite easy to overpack and stuff your bag with things you don’t need. If you have, in the past, dealt with this issue, this blog is for you. Here, we are going to list our favorite tips for packing light so that you can be ready for a vacation at a moment’s notice.

Decide your outfits before you pack

How many times have your struggled to fit everything back into your bag at the end of a trip, only to realize that you didn’t even wear most of the clothes you brought? The only way to avoid this common predicament is to pack by outfit. Do not pack individual tops and bottoms. Instead, take those pieces that you can pair with each other to create an outfit. Think about all that you have planned for the trip and decide on the outfits that you can wear while doing those activities.

Make a list of all essentials

Even if you are someone who likes to pack at the last minute, a little planning can never hurt. All you need to do is make a list of all your beach vacation essentials and pack accordingly. This way you will not leave anything behind. It will also help you avoid carrying things you will not use and considerably reduce the clutter in your suitcase.

Pack smart

The best way to keep the weight of your luggage down is to pack multi-use items. For instance, a shirt that can be worked into your everyday wear and also worn as a beach cover up. You should also look for items that are designed to make packing easy and convenient, like packing cubes and versatile and lightweight beach towels for travel that compress into travel cubes which can be used for various outdoor activities.

Choose a small suitcase or weekender

When you have a small bag, it curbs your urge to overpack. Invest in a good quality carry-on suitcase or a duffel bag that is not too big and not too small; just enough for you. Also, hard-sided suitcases do not even allow you to stuff it with things that you will barely give a second glance at while enjoying your luxurious beach vacation.

Looking for cheap beach towels? Lightload towels are a must-have on a vacation. These beach towels are extra large beach towels to begin with but become pocket sized compressed towels with our technology. They are versatile and amazing space savers which make them amazing travel towels Browse through our online store to shop for Lightload lightweight beach towels.

What’s the first thing you do after a nice long shower? You reach out for your fresh towel. But what if your towel is scratchy and stinky? Nothing can ruin your post-shower mood like a rough, lifeless towel that barely soaks up any water.

After a few wash cycles, towels begin to lose that amazing, soft feel. A few more, and you practically end up with a rag. Luckily, with the right amount of care and maintenance, that can be a thing of the past. There are a few positive towel habits that you can and should practice every day to ensure that your towels remain soft and fluffy for as long as possible. While this might mean changing the way you do a few things, keeping your towels in good condition isn’t all that difficult.

Here are a few tips to make your towels last longer:

1.Don’t wash them after every use

Let us start with the good news. You don’t need to wash your towels too frequently and definitely not after every use. Unless they get dirty, you can simply hang them up to dry after you use them. It is recommended that you wash them only after every three uses. Washing them too often can cause their fibers to weaken and make them feel rough and scratchy.

2.Wash them separately

Never wash your towels with your other clothes. There are a couple of reasons for that. One, since bath towels are generally clean, they do not need as much detergent as your other clothes might do. Also, in the wash, zippers, Velcro, buttons, and other materials can easily pull on the towels.

3.Do not toss damp towels on the floor

Do you have a habit of throwing your damp towels on the floor? It is time you stopped doing that. Piling up damp towels, regardless of whether they are clean, can lead to mold. And since the moisture will be trapped between the folds, it will also promote bacterial growth.

4.Pick lighter colored towels

One of the things you need to consider when buying towels is their color. It is always a good idea to opt for lighter colors as they are less likely to fade. Moreover, since they have less dye, they also tend to stay absorbent and fluffy for much longer than darker colors.

5.Replace your towels every couple of years

Even with meticulous care, your towels will begin to show signs of wear over time. To make sure that you always have soft and absorbent towels at your disposal, you should replace them every two to three years. You should also keep a few extra emergency towels at hand for unforeseen situations.

Lightload offers a collection of quick dry towel sets that consist of lightweight towels that are ideal for travel, including camping, hiking, backpacking, and so much more. Browse through our online store to take your pick from large as well as hand-size towels made from the finest lyocell. They are washable, soft on the skin, and reusable.

We all look forward to a nice, stress-free holiday, but how about what comes before we hit the road?

Packing your bag: For some, it can be a huge nightmare. Because let’s be honest, there is never enough time or space, and you often end up stuffing everything in at the last minute.

It takes time and quite a bit of trial and error. Once you get the hang of it, everything becomes much easier and more convenient.

Read on for some tips that will help you pack to perfection for your next trip:

You may think you will remember everything, but there are tons of little details to keep in mind, and a list will ensure that you don’t leave anything out. You can also then save it and use it for your future trips, too.

2. Maximize bag space

You should try to maximise your bag space as much as possible. Using simple techniques like rolling your clothes instead of folding them can help you save a lot of space in your suitcase. You should also look swap out heavier and bigger items like towels that add to the weight with smarter alternatives like Lightload quick dry camping towels.

3. Do not wait till the last minute to pack

When you wait till the last minute to pack your bag, you are not going to achieve much other than a lot a stress. Because there won’t be sufficient time for planning, the chances of you forgetting something important is quite high. Ensure that you plan in advance about what you will carry, the outfits you will wear, and so on.

Is there anything more blissful than a beach vacation? The sand at your feet, the wind in your hair, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore… what more could you ask for? But wait! Did you forget to pack your sunglasses? After you have laid out your beach towel and sat down comfortably, the last thing you would want to do is run back to the hotel or your car because you forgot something. Luckily, there is one easy way to avoid that and that is to pack the perfect beach bag.

Packing your beach bag is the key to enjoying a beautiful beach day. It will not only allow you to carry your essentials but also keep them organized and safe from sand and water. Here are a few tips to put together the perfect beach bag:

1.Pick a spacious bag

The good thing about buying beach bags today is that there are tons of styles for you to pick from, whether you like the cheeky woven designs or the sturdier, more functional styles. But no matter what style you choose, make sure it is spacious. While there is nothing wrong with getting a bag with one large compartment, the smarter idea would be to get one with a lot of pockets. The compartments will make it easier for you to organize your essentials.

2.Make a list of all the essentials

There are a few beach essentials that you shouldn’t skip when packing your beach bag. This is why you should make a list so that you don’t miss anything out. Sunglass, sunscreen, lightweight beach towel, beach hat, reusable water bottle, wet wipes, etc., are definite must-haves. In addition to these, you can also carry extra stuff like snacks, moisturizer, reusable bags, and so on.

3.Don’t forget to carry an extra bag for your wet clothes

If you plan to jump into the water and maybe swim a few laps, you need to carry an extra bag for your swimwear and wet clothes. You can use it to carry your wet clothes back to your hotel or home without spoiling anything else.

4.Avoid underpacking or overpacking

Some say that packing a beach bag is an art form, and they aren’t completely wrong. If you take the minimalist route, you risk missing out on an important essential. Overpack and you end up lugging around a heavy, cluttered bag. You need to find the right balance between packing all that you need and going overboard.

5.Protect your belongings against sand

For those who like to carry their electronics to the beach, zip-lock bags can be a blessing. They can be used to protect your belongings from sand and water. They can also come in handy when your moisturizer or sunscreen springs a leak.

Looking for some high-quality beach towels? Lightload offers lightweight beach towels for travel that are easy to carry and even easier to use.

Who hasn’t dealt with an unruly travel bag before leaving for a trip? Haven’t we all sat on our suitcases in a desperate attempt to close them shut? Or tried to whip a duffle bag back into shape after stuffing it with a lot more than it can possibly hold?

Let’s face it. Packing a suitcase or travel bag is probably the least exciting part of planning for a trip and also the most overwhelming. Not only do you need to make sure that you fit all that you need into that one bag (or two, maybe) but also pack it in a way that makes it convenient to grab something without spilling the rest of the content. And how can we forget the airline baggage weight and size requirements? No one likes paying extra for luggage. Fortunately, suitcases have plenty of space if you know how to pack them right.

Here are a few suitcase packing tips that will save valuable luggage space and keep your clothes wrinkle-free:

1.Roll, not fold.

This is perhaps the oldest trick in the book: Roll your clothes instead of folding them. While some might argue that folding saves more space, the general consensus is that rolling is one of the best ways to maximize space use in a suitcase because rolled clothing can be easily squeezed into smaller compartments and corners. But if you have heavier and easily wrinkled pieces, you need to give them the folding treatment.

2.Choose the right clothes.

Unless you are going to a cold place where you need a lot of layers, stick to thin, lightweight clothes. Scour your wardrobe for clothes in soft fabrics like cotton, knits, and silk. While this may seemingly limit your outfit choices, trust us when we say that it is completely worth it to avoid paying that extra charge on your luggage.

3.Utilize unused space.

Collared shirts, shoes, and cupped bras are probably the biggest culprits when it comes to unused space in suitcases. The solution? Use that space to store things like socks and other small things that fit. When packing bras, you can stack them on top of each other. You can also fold a bra in half down the middle and store socks and underwear between the cups. This is also a great way to keep them in shape.

4.Pack travel-size items.

Regular-sized half-filled shampoo and conditioner bottles can waste a lot of space. You should, instead, carry travel-size items. And this is not just for toiletries. You should also use other items, like compact travel towels, that are designed to save space in a bag.

Looking for an extra-large travel towel that is also compact and easy to carry? Check out our online store to discover our premium-quality travel towels that are lightweight and absorbent. They allow for easy storage and are sealed to be a clean towel until you are ready to use. We also offer similar expanding beach towels that are perfect for all your tropical getaways.

Nothing screams summer like the image of a bright, sunny day and a big beach towel spread over white sand, under the shade of a ginormous umbrella. But have you ever stopped to think how much of a beating the towels take from all the sand, sun, sweat, and sunscreen? People don’t really put much thought into laundering their beach towels but it is important to wash them properly. Whether you spend your day lazing on the beach or by the pool, your towel is bound to get dirty. The easiest solution would be to toss it into the washing machine, wouldn’t it? Not quite. Beach towels are a little different from their regular bathing counterparts. Once they are caked with wet sand, they cannot be machine-washed because the machines are not designed to deal with so much sand. Instead, here’s what you should do:

1.Shake

The first thing you should do is shake your towel to remove any loose sand or soil from it. Do this while you are still at the beach. Give it a good shake even if it is wet. Make sure to do it away from people because the debris is likely to fly all over the place.

2.Dry

Dry the towel before you pack it up. This will help get rid of the sand that has clung to the wet towel as well as the bacteria that it picked up from the beach. The warm UV rays of the sun will not only dry your towel but also kill the germs.

3.Shake again

Unless you want to track sand into your house, shake your towel again after it dries in the sun. This will also prevent sand from getting into the washing machine. You want to make sure there is as little sand as possible.

4.Wash on a cold setting

Washing on a cold setting is key because it makes it less likely that any leftover sand will be embedded into the towel fibers. Embedded sand can damage the fibers, which makes them look dirty and feel rough.

5.Spot clean

Before drying the towel, check for stains. If you see any sunscreen, tanner, or oil stains, treat the spot(s). Drying the stains will make them harder to remove.

6.Hang to dry

While you can tumble dry your beach towel on low, the best way to dry it is to hang it up. But make sure you check for instructions on the label.

How Often Should You Wash Your Beach Towels?

Knowing how to clean your beach towel will make it last for many summers to come.

Beach towels should ideally be washed after every use to keep them clean and bacteria-free. If it is not too dirty, you can wash it after every third use. But when you are on vacation, that may not be possible. So, between uses, make sure you hang them to dry in the sun.

Looking for the best beach towels for travel?

Now find extra-large beach towels for swimming at Lightload.
